[nice_header]Registration and bibs[/nice_header]

In order to be a valid participant, you need to have a bib visible on your chest from the start to the end of the run. Participants without bibs will be disqualified. We’ll give you 4 safety pins to pin your number to your clothes.

You can get the bib, together with a goodie bag with gifts from our partners can be taken from either of 2 places:

  • [highlight]On Saturday (26 october)[/highlight] – Decathlon store across Business Park Sofia (Okolovrasten Pat) at the Runners’ section from [highlight]14:00 to 20:00 h.[/highlight] Our team will be there and you’ll get an extra present from our sponsor Decathlon.
  • In case of emergency (you’re not from Sofia, or can’t make it on Saturday) – [highlight]Sunday from 10:00 to 12:00h[/highlight] at the starting zone in Borisova gradina.

[highlight]Please do not come at the last minute, we won’t register you.[/highlight]

You need to sign a declaration that you agree with the terms of the event and that you release us of liability during the event. If you are between 16 and 18 years of age we need your parent to sign for you. Runners under 16 years are allowed to participate only if accompanied by their parents. You do not need to print the declaration – there will be available forms at the registration.

The bibs are with different colour for the different distances. Please remember your number to ease the registration process:

Please be aware that if you decide to run a different distance (shorter or longer) than the one you registered for, your time for that distance will not be in the final results. Currently you cannot change your running distance.

[nice_header]SECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR RELAY MEMBERS[/nice_header]

Only runner #1 should be present at the start zone in 15h. All others must remain in the relay transfer zone for their team.

Relay transfer happens at the central park alley. Please check this map so you can get an idea where your team should be based on your team race number:

MAP FOR RELAY TRANSFER LOCATIONS

We suggest all team members remain at their relay transfer positions until the last team member finishes their 4th lap. All your team’s race numbers contain the same chip, so if you pass trough the start arch accidentally, a lap will be counted. Teams with more than 4 laps will be disqualified. In other words: don’t pass near the arch if you’re not running your lap.

Only the first team member will pass the arch twice (at the start and at the start of lap #2), the second, third and fourth team member will pass once.

Every team will get medals, please come at the start zone after the fourth team member finishes so you can get your medals.

[nice_header]Registration and bibs[/nice_header]

In order to be a valid participant, you need to have a bib visible on your chest from the start to the end of the run. The start number for children has no chip – it’s a sticker that you can easily apply ONCE on a t-shirt or a jacket, so you don’t bother with safety pins.

You need to sign a declaration that you agree with the terms of the event and that you release us of liability during the event. You do not need to print the declaration – there will be available forms at the registration.

[nice_header]Race details[/nice_header]

We decided to expand the simple run to a small training session with the professional help of the Bulgarian Athletics Federation and the IAAF-certified trainer Dimitar Tasev.

The training will be made according to IAAF Kid’s Athletics program, created for children with specially created for children tools – batons and toys. The exercises cover most of the athletic activities and contain gaming element.

We think the training session will be useful for your children. It will start at 13h and continue about 45 minutes, ending with the run. The kids won’t be ranked with time, only on order of finishing.

[nice_header]Refreshments and fun[/nice_header]

We’ll provide juices and water for the children and our sponsors Harmonica will give out a bandana for every child.

[nice_header]Wardrobe[/nice_header]

We cannot keep your children’s items. Please make sure you take care of clothes and other items.

[nice_header]Watch out: Winter time is coming![/nice_header]

On Sunday you should move your watch 1 hour back. Have this in mind when coming to the race, you have to be 1 hour earlier!

[nice_header]Getting to the start[/nice_header]

The easiest way to get to the start is by public transport. You can use metro, bus or trolley to Orlov most and then come by foot through Borisova gradina to the kids place (Pliska direction). The start is marked with a flag on the map.

Another option is to use the Sofia metro to station Vasil Levski Stadium and then go through Borisova gradina in Pliska direction until you reach the start zone.

If you are coming by bicycle please tie it securecly so it is not an obstacle for runners or other people.

[nice_header]Start, laps and electronic timekeeping[/nice_header]

The start is at 15:00 sharp. If you are not registered, please come between 10:00 and 12:00 to register.

The start will be the same for all distances. If you are beginner runners and you do not feel like breaking the world record at that day, please stay at the back of the crowd. Leave the faster runners to start in front – otherwise you will not feel comfortable if lots of people pass you by and they will feel uncomfortable to advance in the crowd which might be even dangerous.

Please be aware that your bib contains an unique chip, which will count your NET time at the moment you pass through the starting gate until the moment you finish through the same gate after you finish with your laps. Timekeeping is electronic and your time is net which means that it counts your time and not the time from starting horn. A participant starting in front of the crowd does not have a time advantage.

In case you decide to leave the event, please contact the organizers at the tent in the starting zone to sign you off.

Every finisher will get a medal.

Winners ceremony is at 17:00 h.

[nice_header]Refreshments, entertainment[/nice_header]

After the start (on every 5 km lap) there will be a refreshment point with water from Pirin Spring (500ml bottle) and fruit. Please do not litter and put the bottles in the bins. We’ll provide also garbage bags along the road.

Caution: When you finish you can get water and fruit but keep away and leave the runners to use the refreshment station with priority!

There will be music and a DJ at the start zone.

We’ll offer a hot drink (coffee or tea) for every participant wearing a bib served after 15 h.

We’ll have professional photographers engaged, so you can use our photo pane to create memorable photos of the event.

[nice_header]Luggage[/nice_header]

We can keep your luggage during the event (except for the Kid’s Race). You will find a sticker with your number in the goody bag. Please stick it to your luggage before handing it to us. You’ll get your luggage when presenting your bib after the race. DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR LUGGAGE!!! WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY VALUABLES LOST OT STOLEN.

[nice_header]WC[/nice_header]

There is chemical WC 50m from the start.

[nice_header]Safety[/nice_header]

There will be a medical team and security guards, provided by Sofia municipality. Please contact the organizers if you do not feel well.

We expect sun and temperatures around 22 Celsius, but dress well and take additional clothes to wear after the finish.

The route will be well marked on every turn and there will be volunteers to guide you, but keep in mind that the park is accessible for citizens, strollers and kids. Some construction is next to the route so be careful. Please do no litter – use the bins or take the plastic bottles with you.
