IMPORTANT: Please be reminded that the start of the event is at 4 PM!!!

The bibs can be taken on 16.11 in the Nike store in Mall of Sofia till 9 PM or on 17.11 at the start – from 12 PM to 3 PM! Please be aware that the participants are almost 300 and do not come for your bib at the last moment!

Registration is over, registered participants are approaching 300 and we kindly ask you to read these instructions so that all of us have fun during the event.

Registration and bibs

In order to be a valid participant, you need to have a bib visible on your chest from the start to the end of the run. Participants without bibs will be disqualified. We’ll give you 4 safety pins to pin your number to your clothes.

You can get the bib, together with a goodie bag with gifts from our partners Nike & Mtel can be taken from either of 2 places:

  • On Friday – Nike store in Mall of Sofia (Stamboliiski blvd.), second floor, from 16:00 to 21:00.
  • On Saturday from 12:00AM till 15:00PM at the starting zone in Borisova gradina.

You need to sign a declaration that you agree with the terms of the event and that you release us of liability during the event. If you are between 16 and 18 years of age we need your parent to sign for you. Runners under 16 years are allowed to participate only if accompanied by their parents. You do not need to print the declaration – there will be available forms at the registration.

The bibs are with different color for the different distances. Please remember your number to ease the registration process:

Please be aware that if you decide to run a different distance (shorter or longer) than the one you registered for, your time for that distance will not be in the final results. Currently you cannot change your running distance.

Getting to the start

The easiest way to get to the start is by public transport. You can use any bus or trolley to Orlov most and then come by foot through Borisova gradina to the kids place (Pliska direction). The start is marked with a flag on the map.

Another option is to use the Sofia metro to station Vasil Levski Stadium and then go through Borisova gradina in Pliska direction until you reach the start zone.

If you decide to come by car, please be aware that Dragan Tsankov blvd is closed for repairs and there is a heavy traffic on Evlogi Georgiev even on Saturday. You can use the parking around the stadium or the blue zone parking on Gurko str.

If you are coming by bicycle please tie it securely so it is not an obstacle for runners or other people.

Start, laps and electronic timekeeping

The start is at 16:00 sharp. If you are not registered, please come at least an hour earlier.

The start will be the same for all distances. If you are beginner runners and you do not feel like breaking the world record at that day, please stay at the back of the crowd. Leave the faster runners to start in front – otherwise you will not feel comfortable if lots of people pass you by and they will feel uncomfortable to advance in the crowd which might be even dangerous.

Please be aware that your bib contains an unique chip, which will count your time at the moment you pass through the starting gate until the moment you finish through the same gate after you finish with your laps. Timekeeping is electronic and your time is net which means that it counts your time and not the time from starting horn. A participant starting in front of the crowd does not have a time advantage.

In case you decide to leave the event, please contact the organizers at the tent in the starting zone to sign you off.

Every finisher will get a medal.

The winners in every distance (man and woman) will get a mobile phone by Mtel. Winners at 2.5 and 5k will get a T-shirt from Nike. The winners at 10k will also get a pair of running shoes Nike Air Pegasus.

Refreshments, entertainment

After the start  (on every 2.5 km lap) there will be a refreshment point with water from Pirin Spring (500ml bottle) and fruit. Please do not litter and put the bottles in the bins. We’ll provide also garbage bags along the road.

Caution: When you finish you can get water and fruit but keep away and leave the runners to use the refreshment station with priority!

There will be music and a DJ at the start zone.

We’ll offer a hot drink (coffee or tea) for every participant wearing a bib served after 15 h.

Photo run!

Our partners from Max magazine will have a zone for professional photo shoots. You can take pictures with your medals and friends and you can tag yourself later at our Facebook page.

Luggage

We can keep your luggage during the event. You will find a sticker with your number in the goody bag. Please stick it to your luggage before handing it to us. You’ll get your luggage when presenting your bib after the race. DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR LUGGAGE!!! WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY VALUABLES LOST OT STOLEN.

WC

There is chemical WC 50m from the start.

Safety

There will be a medical team and security guards, provided by Sofia municipality. Please contact the organizers if you do not feel well.

We expect sun and temperatures around 13, but dress well and take additional clothes to wear after the finish.

The route will be well marked on every turn and there will be volunteers to guide you, but keep in mind that the park is accessible for citizens, strollers and kids. Some construction is next to the route so be careful. Please do no litter – use the bins or take the plastic bottles with you.
